The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is dedicated to fostering global communication, cybersecurity, and digital innovation. Delegates discuss challenges related to the regulation of emerging technologies, the spread of misinformation, and strategies to ensure secure and reliable information networks. The committee encourages collaborative problem-solving, ethical considerations, and the development of international policies that promote trust in digital communication.
This year’s topic is Controlling the Global Spread of Deepfake Technology and Misinformation. Delegates will examine the impact of advanced technologies on information integrity and explore methods to prevent the misuse of digital tools while safeguarding freedom of expression.
